Lippmann Hit Me With Your Best Shot - bold but still wearable

butter London Henley Regatta - this is a pedicure only polish and I usually layer with Color Club Bizerk Turq

Well there you go, a complete list of the polishes I'm currently loving. Anyone else want to share their top picks?

Perfectly Polished Tips 51 - SpaRitual Surreal & Blue Comparisons

I'm really big on blues, it's funny because when I first started wearing nail polish regularly I would only do pinks. Then I moved on to red and sometimes purple. I think my first blue was CND Blue Blood and it was so out of my comfort zone. I kept on collecting blues though, but it wasn't until I purchased OPI Dating a Royal that I felt comfortable in blue. Now it's my favorite color to wear. I've praised SpaRitual before for it's amazing colors and formula. Here is another polish from the fall 2008 Inspired collection, Surreal. It's a dark, blackened blue with amazing blue shimmer. The only thing that sucks is that you can't see the shimmer unless you are in bright light. So it's one of those ones that just looks black. SpaRituals have a beautiful glow about their shimmer though so I don't mind.

Dupe Alert! Surreal and Orly Star of Bombay are basically the same polish. I also compared the two to Chanel Blue Satin. Blue Satin is lighter than the other two though and you can tell you are wearing a blue polish and not black in all lighting. I prefer SpaRitual's formula to Orly so I will be passing the Orly on to another blue lover.

SpaRitual can be found at SpaRitual.com, SkinStore.com, and Aveyou.com. Orly can be found at Sally Beauty, head2toebeauty.com, 8ty8beauty.com, and transdesign.com.

*I am not affilated with any of the websites/stores/sellers that I post about on here.*

Perfectly Polished Tips 49 - Lemming Boards

Some people like to use lemming wheels to swatch their stash, but some people also don't have access to these lemming wheels/boards. I have yet to find them in real life. I've found them decently priced on ebay. My only problem with them is that my stash changes often. So now I have 11 color wheels filled with colors I no longer own. I went ahead and made a "ghetto" version of a lemming board with card board, fake tips, and glue (tacky glue and nail glue). So now if I decide to toss it I won't think about the time & money spent on shipping. I believe the real lemming wheels are reusable but I would imagine it would be a pain to do. Here is the lemming board I made:

A closer view of the polishes I swatched:

the numbers are revered so 10-1: OPI Blue Moon Lagoon, Hard Candy Sky, ChG Blue Sparrow, Zoya Kotori, Essie Starry Starry Night, NARS Midnight Express Franken, CND Blue Blood, Chanel Blue Satin, ChG Indian Ocean, SpaRitual Surreal

1-10: Chelsea Pyscho Green, CND NFS, OPI Green-wich Village, ChG Shower Together, Teal Franken, ChG For Audrey, ChG DV8, ChG On the Rocks, Pure Ice Heart Breaker

Perfectly Polished Tips 48 - NOTD SpaRitual Solitude

SpaRitual is a new brand to me. Before acquiring two from the 2008 Inspired collection for fall I only had one. I wasn't crazy about the color but I loved the formula and application. Solitude is another one of those smokey purples that everyone is in love with at the moment. The polish isn't as blue as it appears in the picture above. I think the second picture is a better representation of it. The first coat of this polish was very streaky but with careful application of a second coat you are good to go. This manicure has two coats over Lippmann Rehydrating base coat and I used IMN Out the Door as my top coat.

SpaRitual is a vegan fruendly brand and has a lot of beautiful colors. The formula is smooth and amazing, it also has a rubber cap similar to Orly's cap. I also learned today that SpaRitual and Orly are from the same company but I do not know how similar the polish is. I personally have been disappointed with Orly since they went big three free.

SpaRitual retails for $9 and their site is SpaRitual.com. You can also find them at Skinstore.com and Aveyou.com.
